How to book and payment to tour Agency in Bhutan?
Every tourists to Bhutan has to book through a recognized or government license Bhutan tour agency as per your travel time frame or travel plan. You can ask to your Bhutan tour agency for your travel activities you are interested. Agency will suggest and give you the choice of optional Bhutan tours programme. The travel cost set by the Royal Government of Bhutan is US$250 per person per night for groups of three persons in peak seasons (March – May & September – November) and off seasons (December – February & June – August) is US$200 per person per night for groups of three persons. Visa fee US$40 per person for one time tour is added on and above set tariff. The set tariff include all 3 meals, government royalty, transportation, accommodation in 3 stars hotel category, English speaking local guide, entry fees.
Is there discount for Bhutan tour?
- Student age of 25 years and below are given 50% off from the daily government royalty US$65. They have to provide the valid institute identity card.
- Children age of 12 years old and below are given 100% off from the daily government royalty US$65.
Bhutan Tour agent like Bhutan Bokar Tours accept online credit card payment with bank charges 4.5% of total applicable at the time of transfer your tour fund.
You can also do bank wire transfer with bank charges US$50. Travel agent in Bhutan will advise and instruct with the Bank beneficiary details to the guest once tour-booking is confirmed.
Is it safe to deposit the full Bhutan tour payment?
Yes it is safe to make the full tour payment. Your Bhutan visa is only issued up on receiving the full tour payment in Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) in the name of the chosen Bhutan tours operator.
Your tour money gets held by the Tourism council of Bhutan (TCB) and is not in control of the Bhutan travel agent at any point. The tour payment will be transferred to the agent upon completion of your final tour. If any reason the Bhutan tour doesn’t take place, then the TCB will not release your tour payment but will return subject to any cancellation charges which will apply if cancelled the tour. So, in the unlikely case that tour agent do not run your Bhutan trip or trekking, you would not be losing your money but refunded.
